Buying an NFA item like a suppressor involves a few extra steps, but we’re here to make the process as smooth as possible.

1. Add to Cart & Choose Delivery Method

  • Option 1: Pick Up at Adventure Gear South
    Choose Local Pickup at our Seminole, FL location during checkout.

  • Option 2: Ship to a Local FFL/SOT
    Choose your local FFL dealer for shipping.
    ⚠️ Important: Your chosen dealer must be an SOT (Special Occupational Taxpayer) who accepts NFA transfers (like suppressors). Be sure to verify this with them first and ask about their transfer fee.

2. Purchase Your Tax Stamp

All NFA items require a $205 tax stamp from the ATF. You have two options:

  • If picking up at Adventure Gear South:
    Add a tax stamp to your cart at the time of purchase or purchase it later through Silencer Shop.

  • If using a local FFL:
    Your selected dealer will guide you through buying your tax stamp and completing the transfer.

3. Complete the Transfer Process (via Silencer Shop)

If you’re using the Silencer Shop system (either with us or through another FFL), here’s what to expect:

  1. Go to a Powered by Silencer Shop Kiosk
    Complete your fingerprint scan and demographic info in about 5 minutes.

  2. Take & Upload a Selfie
    Use the Silencer Shop app to upload your photo to your customer profile.

  3. Review & Sign via DocuSign
    You’ll receive an email from Silencer Shop with a DocuSign packet—review and sign it digitally.

  4. Create Your ATF eForms Account
    Visit eforms.atf.gov and ensure your account info (email, name, address) exactly matches your Silencer Shop profile.

  5. Certify Your Submission
    When you receive the “Ready to Certify” email from Silencer Shop, Adventure Gear South will also be notified. We’ll contact you to schedule an in-person session to complete the certification together.

4. Wait for ATF Approval

Once everything is submitted and certified, the waiting period begins. After approval, we’ll contact you to complete the final steps and get your new NFA item into your hands.
